You don’t have to wait until January 1 to start making better choices. Start by taking steps to detox your physical and mental being for a healthy year (and life) ahead:

  1. Unplug. Social apps are a great way to stay connected with your loved ones, but it can also be energy draining and prevent you from getting out and seeing those people in person! Opt for real-life socialization and leave the phone in your car or purse.
  2. Go au naturel. Mother Nature has a cure for almost everything. Swap out the synthetics (household cleaners, soaps and hygiene products) from your shopping list and go with products with a cleaner ingredients list. Not only is it better for you, but you’ll feel good about being a responsible consumer.
  3. Get organized. The holiday season may be known for long shopping lines and doorbuster deals, but it can also be a great time to downsize and donate items you no longer need.
  4. Drink more water. Overwhelmed with where to begin your detoxing journey? Start with increasing your water consumption. Water is one of the best detoxifiers because it regulates almost every process in your body. Start the day with a glass of lemon water before your morning coffee for healthier skin, more energy and detoxifying effects.

limit your refined sugar, alcohol, red meat and dairy intake.
